Well everyone.

This is it.

Goodbye and Goodluck!

untitled

Hello,

I was just meddling around with my photo editting software, GIMP, and did this as a practice for one of the interactive tutorials. (Don’t we all hate that word?). Anyway, pardon the bad grammar. It is supposed to be “Gather at Bedok MRT”; I had not noticed the error until it was all too late. So anyway, this is it, tomorrow is our Night Cycling and QiaoWei has probably sent out the texts with regards to Where When Why What Who How.

1930hr at Bedok MRT (Though I would recommend Tanah Merah, to avoid the clash ins with aunties and uncles of the Bedok).

Just a quick one,

it has been like a  clockwork sprinkler here in the East which activates around evening. So in any case, do bring along your handy dandy rain-protection gear if you have a slight suspicion that you might just melt in the rain.

SEE YOU THERE.

Wenbin

I really shouldn’t be here.

Really. I mean, hey, I’m wasting precious time here, whilst I could be out there… I don’t know, watching TV? Or maybe study, though I think that’s hardly possible. Anyhow, since I’ve already drop by, here’s some information we can all do without.

DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS SINGAPORE IS DEBUTING TODAY. Not that I care about show, I only want to listen to the songs.*Defensive*

Oh well.

STATS Tutorial

Week 6 – Topic 8 Hypothesis Testing (11):

v            Test on one mean (t-distribution)

v            Test on two mean ( z-distribution)

Questions: 10-39, 10-41, 11-4, 11-30(ignore the commutation of P value)

10-39

According to the coffee research organization the typical American coffee drinker consumes an average of 3.1 cups per day. A sample of the 12 senior citizens revealed they consumed the following amount of coffee, reported in cups

3.1    3.3   3.5   2.6   2.6   4.3   4.4   3.8   3.1   4.1   3.1   3.2

At the .05 significance level does this sample data suggest there is a difference between the national average and the sample mean from senior citizens?

10-41

eGolf.com receives an average of 6.5 returns per day from online shoppers. For a sample of 12 days, it received the following number of returns.

0     4     3     4     9     4     5     9     1     6     7     10

At the significance level, can we conclude the mean number of returns is less than 6.5.

11-4

As a part of a study of corporate employees, the director of human resources of PNC, Inc, wants to compare the distance travelled to work by employees at its office in downtown Cincinnati with the distance for those in downtown Pittsburgh. A sample of 35 Cincinnati employees showed they travel a mean of 37 miles per month. A sample of 40 Pittsburgh employees showed they travel a mean of 380 miles per month. The population standard deviation for the Cincinnati and Pittsburgh employees are 30 and 26 miles respectively. At the .05 significance level, is there a difference in the mean number of miles traveled per month between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh employees?

11-30

A coffee manufacturer is interested in whether the mean daily consumption of regular-coffee drinker is less than that of decaffeinated-coffee drinkers. Assume the population standard deviation for those drinking regular coffee is 1.20 cups per day and 1.36 cups per day for those drinking decaffeinated coffee. A random sample of 50 regular-coffee drinkers showed a mean of 4.35 cups per day. A sample of 40 decaffeinated-coffee drinkers showed a mean of 5.84 cups per day. Use the .01 significance level. Compute the P value.

Thank you wise School of Business, for your acute judgement of your humble followers. Well yes, I’m sure all of us are a capable lot of people, but that do not justify for the cruel burden you had given us all during the first week of school.

Seriously, what art thou doing?

Whatever. To my fellow slaves-of-projects, this is a compiled list of things we have to get done.SOON. Good Luck. Did I mentioned how much I’m starting to LOVE SB?

1. Foundation of Marketing Presentation and Report (PBL 1)- Week 4 (I think), Monday.
2. Information Technology blah blah Powerpoint – Week 5, Thursday.
3. Character Development Presentation- Week 5, Friday.

Not forgetting our lovely SPSS test on Week 3, Friday.

Till whenever you see me,
Wenbin

Yes yes yes, TIMETABLE for DBA/FT/1B/03 is out!

and I’d say it leaves much room for improvements. Personally, I have those confusing conflicting love-hate feelings towards the new time belt that’s going to soon dictate our lives. Before I drop the Fat Boy and Little Man (FYI: they’re the bombs used during the Hiroshima bombing) on you guys, I will give my own comments on the timetable on the day basis, and give ratings* (1* being sucky and 5* being the excellent). If you rather skip the suspense, scroll down.

Monday (3* )
Can Monday SCHOOL blues get any worse? School Tutorial starts at 8am and lessons ends at 3pm. But no worries for the day is PON-friendly. Other than the Marketing tutorial that starts in the ere (EIGHT AM) dawn, the other lessons are merely lectures or project periods. SKIP!

Tuesday ( 2.5* )
For those who loveeee EC lesson last sem, you may hate it this time. We’d be seeing MORAIS ANN early at EIGHT AM for Critical Reasoning. Seriously, I’m too tired to reason. Praises to the person who removes break between every period. Following close is Marketing(10am) & Econs(11am) lecture, BUT NO SKIPPING TODAY. we’ll then have an hour of break. THEN ECONS TUTORIAL (1PM). DAMMIT.

Wednesday (1000* )
Love for Wednesday reached an ALL TIME HIGH. We only have ONE lesson today. ECONOMICS ! And it starts at 11am. and note, IT’S A LECTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! SKIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. GOODBYE SIM MUN WAH. BAISEZ MY ASS GOODBYE.

Thursday. (3.5*)
At first glance, you’d LOVEEE today, because it’s screaming LECTURE. But noooo, we have ITAB LECTURE(12pm). Which means we must go. But other than that, we have one FOM lecture at 10am, and one PACC lecture at 3pm.

Friday (0.5*)
Literally ends my weekdays with a BANG. And not in a good way. Remember the poor lecture attendance every Friday after the 3hours break? TSK TSK, Tough luck, Aint going to happen this time dudes, because the lesson after the 3hours break is a TUTORIAL. SUCK LUCK.

MOMMY, I WANT TO SLEEP IN!!!!
